fishing was what my parents did on their HONEYMOON so you could easily see why the ladies of my family took a rather poor view of it. I can think of better things to do than just sit on a boat, getting a 3rd degree sunburn, eaten by bugs and not a bathroom within sight-----oh yeah TONS of better things!

I like to vertical jig for walleye. In a boat and you just move the pole lightly up and down until you feel a tick and then BAM you wrench back to try to hook the sucker. Good fun.

It's a private community, so we have our own man-made lake around here....in the middle of a farm town lol

We have our own lake by my house but we don't have a beach or nothing. And I guess it isn't really a lake, it's a pond tbh. And I have a crick behind my house, yes a crick. It's not big enough to be a stream.

Stream's are pretty much universal for any body of water with a current to it. But around here we call it a crick. It is down in a gully land has a bit of a current but it is really too small for us to look at it as a stream, so we call it a crick. I get hell for calling it that from my Chicago friends.

crick is fine by me (a former chicagoan).....I understand what you mean.....its basically barely a trickle of water that has water usually all the time....but not big enough to get more than your toes wet in.
